Susan G. Wynn, DVM, DACVIM (Nutrition)

Susan G. Wynn, DVM, DACVIM (Nutrition), is the Director of Veterinary Nutrition at The Farmer’s Dog. 

She graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, leading to a diverse career in academia, practice, and industry. Her internship was with Friendship Hospital in Washington, DC. Soon after, she began a postdoctoral fellowship in immunology and viral immunology with the Emory University School of Medicine. After that, she entered private practice and, noting that nutrition was one of the most powerful treatment tools we have for sick pets, completed a three-year residency in veterinary nutrition. 

Dr. Wynn was in nutrition specialty practice for over 10 years. In the meantime, she served as president of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association and the American Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy. She founded the Veterinary Botanical Medicine Association, and authored three textbooks on integrative medicine.

Dr. Wynn loves working at The Farmer’s Dog because the company “really puts heart and soul into outstanding nutrition, groundbreaking research, and understanding the bond between owners and their pets.”

Her 14-year-old German shepherd, Genie, has eaten fresh food for most of her life. She also has a longhair cat named Bobmarley and a shorthair named Dennis.
